Exige Cup 260 Finishes 12th Outright At Targa Tasmania Event

The Lotus Cars Australia Exige Cup 260 has finished 12th outright at Targa Tasmania’s gruelling six day event, set a third fastest stage time and is the highest placed showroom spec car in the Modern category.

Over 2000km and 39 stages, the Cup 260 showed its potential in the wet and dry by running without a single problem in arduous conditions, with nothing more than tyre pressure changes and fuel. The car didn’t miss a beat, but the intercom system failed on day one (fixed for day two) which ultimately cost an outright top 10 finish.

After some excellent progress through the 2nd and 3rd days of the event the conditions worsened with heavy rain and poor light. Despite that the Lotus continued to progress through the field and ended 12th outright, whilst being the only true ‘showroom’ specification car in the Modern category. An outstanding result for Lotus, the car and Dean Evans and Simone Bachman.
