Another milestone in Lotus’ Vision80 journey is reached as Emira pre-production gets underway and further details of the substantial investments made in UK operations are revealed. Total investment in UK facilities now stands at more than £100 million, which includes two new production halls at the company’s iconic home in Hethel, Norfolk. Group Lotus announces that Mark Farries has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), replacing incumbent, Robert Gong, who is returning to Geely’s HQ in China (Lotus majority shareholder). Farries, 44, joined Lotus earlier this year as Head of Commercial Finance. The sports car maker was one of only 66 organisations worldwide that received the award in 2020, and one of only two car manufacturers.
