Hi all, A while ago I understood that the P0's asimetiwotsits were no longer available for the elise? I took a trip to my freindly neighbourhood dealer and he said it was bollocks! (His words not mine) He came out to my car and checked the tyre type. 'No problem' he said. He actually had one in stock. I then looked on the pirelli site... http://www.pirelli.co.uk/en_GB/tyres/catal...&productid=2064 ....and it looks like they are there still. Did I have it wrong all along? Or is there some special detailed requirement for the elise? Thanks, Adam.......with 1.5mm tread left!

I assume its a standard S1 problem, but my wiper blade does very little in terms of actually clearing my windscreen. Is this normal or do I need a new blade, i loathe to visit Halfords to buy one unnecessarily but I have heard that the arm was never very good (from the video it was a Citreon AX one and the designer "bent it a bit and it seemed to work") so I am toying with the idea of the S2 arm - I assume this is works better? The other suggestion I have been given is RainX, which I may invest in anyway. Thought, Comments, Suggestions, Ideas.... Cheers

Just had some fitted, drivers side knocking spoke to the fitter who claims they make this noise until they are bedded in - is this true / are they just fobbing me off?

I've heard of problems in the past and indeed experienced them when you hit 87 degrees and the stat opens, you often get a cloud of steam hit the windscreen. I had just popped out at lunch and when i got back the car just read 87 and as I got out, steam was sort of spiralling out of the radiator. Is that bad, good, indifferent, a "feature"??

A local garage owner (2-3 man operation) is considering a proposition I made to him a few months ago: if there's enough interest locally (to Hinckley), he'd like to become an Elise specialist. He's ex-Rover main dealer chief mechanic, has experience of K-series performance tuning and is a switched on, instinctive mechanic (rather than a go-through-the -motions type). And he's not expensive. Been doing my family's cars for 3-4 years now and never messed up, even slightly. He's completely responsible, phones you to offer alternatives and if he's ever unsure about something, will tell you and provide best advice for what to do next. He's just sorted my dropped driver…

Hi everyone. After the great drive Sunday, the HG has failed on me this evening on the way home. Stopped in time (I think) and gave it lots of water on the way home. But as you know I use the car every day and I am now stuck. Any ideas for a good and quick fix? Call 07977 418 626 with ideas Thanks Peter

Faced with a weekend without girlfriend to keep me busy, Im gonna be doing some maintenance. Firstly, I want to paint the grilles silver as they look a little shabby at the mo..Wuddie do I recall you doing this? How did you do it/ what did you use/ how long to 'cure' the paint? Also, I seem to be having window problems. The driver side window is getting stiff, and I think the glass has shifted a bit. When its all up, the front edge doesnt quite close the gap between itself and the soft top. Im going to be taking the door apart, but if anyone knows what Im supposed to be looking for, it would be really appreciated. The passenger side window rubber runner has …

Not sure whether the alarm is standard fit ( it has COBRA fobs ). Does anyone know if the alarm needs a recode or something, or am i just plain incompetent???? (That was incompetent and not impotent as the missus just read it!) Suggestions appreciated! Jimkat

I picked up some damage to the elans (92 fed spec) radiator and need to replace it. Are there any good deals around ? Also when I was mooching around under t'car, I noticed a fluid leak from the air con pump. All the unions were tight so I guess it's seals or repacement ? ChrisE
