Code of conduct
Code of Conduct for MLOC
1. Respect and Courtesy All members are expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of respect and courtesy during any club-related activity, whether online or offline. This expectation extends to interactions with both fellow members and non-members. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy their shared passion for cars without discrimination or discomfort.
2. Professional and Ethical Conduct Members must avoid any actions or behaviors that could potentially harm the reputation of the club or its operations. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from illegal activities, upholding the club's integrity, and avoiding any engagements that might reflect negatively on the club or its community.
3. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. As such, discrimination, harassment, or any other behavior that undermines the dignity or self-esteem of an individual will not be tolerated. This applies to but is not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic.
4. Enforcement of Code of Conduct Violations of these guidelines may result in actions taken by the administration team, including but not limited to warnings, suspension of membership privileges, or expulsion from the club, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
5. Reporting and Grievance Procedures Members are encouraged to report any incidents where they feel these principles have been breached. Reports can be made confidentially to the designated officers, and every complaint will be investigated thoroughly and impartially. We are committed to ensuring fairness and respect for all parties involved.

Howdi folks, i am new, but hey... I had to have a tracker fitted to my Elise as Tesco were far and away the cheapest insurers... even factoring the tracker cost in, they were still £500 less than ANYONE else!!!! Anyway, the place i got mine done is a car audio shop i have used for years and trust a great deal... they did me a good deal and I enquired about the possibilty of a group discount, they said yes, but would need an idea of numbers before giving me a confirmed price. Anyone interested? Drop a note in here and then when i have an idea, i'll get in touch... if you know of anyone else who may be interested let me know. FYI the shop is in Worcester in case…

Hi, I've recently bought my first Elise and would like to learn how to drive it properly. I'd like to go on a track day, so can anyone recommend one where I don't have to use my own car? What kind of price are we talking?

Picture the scene.... Lovely quiet Saturday morning on the roads in Nottingham as I come home from Sainsbury's....well apart from the old dear doing 15mph in a 30 in front of me!!! Get past as he turns off and dab the accelerator to enjoy the sound of the Magnex. But what's this coming towards me??? A shiny red VXT - the first one I've seen! Wave frantically to no avail and look in my RVM to watch him drive away only to see Messrs Traffic Cop pull out from a side junction. Glance down - oops - 40ish in a 30. Get a ticking off and I decide to offer no excuse but look sheepish. Thanks Notts Police for letting me go without penalty!!!!! I can continu…

Good news - have spoken to the garage and the car should be back with me next week. I was told to expect to wait at least 8 weeks originally since the crash box was knackered and apparently lotus don't keep these in stock so they have to be made to order. Looks like it should be back in just over four weeks in total, all sorted. Been at Nick Whales in Brum, and the bodyshop they use (I can't remember the name but it's something like city centre autos or something similar??) have been really good. Obviously haven't seen the car yet but they're doing a full geo and have been great for keeping me up to date with progress etc. Picked up from my house and will …

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd say "Hi". I got my S2 Elise in early June and I'm still waiting to go on a club run with you lot!!! However, forces seems to be against me having any sort of decent weekend drive as I'm trying to organise my wedding at the moment; I'm never free at the right time. Once I'm back from my honeymoon I'll drag the other half along to one of the runs. I'm in Nottingham but work in Sheffield. I don't see other Elises very often - at least it makes you feel special!!! Any pub meetings in Nottinghamshire? Cheers, Fiona

For all those who didnt go, I hate to rub it in, but it was fab... Lovely weather, lovely (leisurely by run standards) drive, a handful of emaciated models. I think about 160 Lotii were there in total, and at the end, a generous lady flashed her assets(close eyes, smile at the memory), almost making me crash into the barrier while trying to park. The drive back was pile-tastic, but it was worth it. Heres a pic near the promo shot at Crystal Palace(if I can get it to work)...an Mloc special..
