Code of conduct
Code of Conduct for MLOC
1. Respect and Courtesy All members are expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of respect and courtesy during any club-related activity, whether online or offline. This expectation extends to interactions with both fellow members and non-members. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy their shared passion for cars without discrimination or discomfort.
2. Professional and Ethical Conduct Members must avoid any actions or behaviors that could potentially harm the reputation of the club or its operations. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from illegal activities, upholding the club's integrity, and avoiding any engagements that might reflect negatively on the club or its community.
3. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. As such, discrimination, harassment, or any other behavior that undermines the dignity or self-esteem of an individual will not be tolerated. This applies to but is not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic.
4. Enforcement of Code of Conduct Violations of these guidelines may result in actions taken by the administration team, including but not limited to warnings, suspension of membership privileges, or expulsion from the club, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
5. Reporting and Grievance Procedures Members are encouraged to report any incidents where they feel these principles have been breached. Reports can be made confidentially to the designated officers, and every complaint will be investigated thoroughly and impartially. We are committed to ensuring fairness and respect for all parties involved.

I have just returned from the airfield day in North Weald with 1st Lotus. What a buzz! If anyone hasnt done it, call now and book it. The best £80/ £120 you will spend(Seloc Active member discount) Didnt know quite what to expect, but it is SO much fun. I never thought Id drive the Elise like that, ever. You really push the limits, braking, cornering, throttle control and rotational steering which is so simple and helpful to know. It was a 4 person day, which is the best option because the car needs to have a break in between what he is teaching. Kris, this is DEFINITELY something you should do (when the chariot is back). Infact, that applies to everyone.. …

I think it's time we step forward and show our thanks and appreciation to Mark "Beefcake" H for getting the MLOC site off the ground. Not only that, it's a good solid site and very fast compared to others out there right now (SELOC, BritCars, Pistonheads). As a fairly regular contributor, it's been apparent over the last couple of weeks that the site has found acceptance and is being regularly used as a resource by local owners. Previously, other than a few tentative posts, people either used the Brit Cars BBS, or hedged and posted on both to be sure. Now, people have the confidence in MLOC to use it exclusively for things. And it's the first place one finds one…

Following on from the sticker idea, I might be able to knock together a few NASA wing style kites with the logo. Choice of colours and sizes. Any interest?

Any of you fancy entering the sprint with the SELOC guys at Lydden Hill on 6th Sept? A few of you have expressed interest in the past. This is a great opportunity to have a go in a well organised event. If there is enough interest from the Midlands then SELOC may organise a sprint championship next season with alternate rounds at Silverstone and Lydden. Mark A and myself are in for it. It would be good to get a good showing from MLOC. If you have any questions, post up here or have a look at the MOTORSPORT section on www.SELOC.org Mike
