Went in a "normal" car on Saturday, for the first time in a week. Argh! They're horrible.... The ride height! The washing machine noise! The bodyroll! The lack of any feeback or steering feel! Crap all power! And no Scott, it wasn't in a Lupo But pray I don't have to do that very often...makes you appriciate the Elise even more!

Top Gear tonight Jeremy actually admitted that the perfect sports car would include handling like an Elise!!! (no Scott the S2) He said this when talking about the design of the new GT40. (Interesting it took a couple of Lotus engineers to sort the suspension.) Made me whish I could have come on the Staffs run today. Dave.

Now that the weather is turning colder, and Im getting braver with topless driving in these conditions, Im suffering from freezing cold hands(cue violins)! All the other parst of my body are fine(head, feet etc with jackets and hats), but Im thinking its time to swallow my street cred and get some driving gloves. Anyone here use any? Any recommendations/ opinions? Been round some shops, but found nothing suitable. Only ones Ive seen are some "Dents" driving gloves. They seem to be thin overpriced leather gloves, and dont have extra grip on the underside. I would have thought this is necessary seeing as you wanna hold on to the wheel...Im rambling now............…

I have a good deal on my insurance (696 for everything), but started me thinking...how much extra could I save if I had a trakker - including more insurance companies to choose from. Has anyone done this and can recommend a particular device ? Ben

A brilliant drive home from Surrey last night in new elise. It was everything I hoped and more, even on a long boring motorway journey, never had the M4 been so much fun! A fool in a Sunny GTi-R wanted a race, didn't give him the satisfaction. Do you guys get the same all the time? See you all on the next run

Oh my god what have I done I have just bought an Elise with a K series engine which has just been slated on Watch Dog even by Quentin Wilson for excessive head gasket failures. What shall I do? I won't sleep at nights now! Any thoughts? Dave

Do they do that Datatag thing for motorbikes for cars (does that sound right )? I've been hearing that there may be some problems trying to hide a Tracker in an Elise. So, would Datatag be as good a Deterrent or am I talking dogs do do , I know Datatag doesn't do any tracking but it might stop some scumbag nicking cars for parts etc Good night and god bless
