Code of conduct
Code of Conduct for MLOC
1. Respect and Courtesy All members are expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of respect and courtesy during any club-related activity, whether online or offline. This expectation extends to interactions with both fellow members and non-members. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy their shared passion for cars without discrimination or discomfort.
2. Professional and Ethical Conduct Members must avoid any actions or behaviors that could potentially harm the reputation of the club or its operations. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from illegal activities, upholding the club's integrity, and avoiding any engagements that might reflect negatively on the club or its community.
3. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. As such, discrimination, harassment, or any other behavior that undermines the dignity or self-esteem of an individual will not be tolerated. This applies to but is not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic.
4. Enforcement of Code of Conduct Violations of these guidelines may result in actions taken by the administration team, including but not limited to warnings, suspension of membership privileges, or expulsion from the club, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
5. Reporting and Grievance Procedures Members are encouraged to report any incidents where they feel these principles have been breached. Reports can be made confidentially to the designated officers, and every complaint will be investigated thoroughly and impartially. We are committed to ensuring fairness and respect for all parties involved.

What an horiffic experienceI had today...From this to this in 2 seconds!! Today I ran out of toner for my Colour Laser Printer, so had to nip to Gloucester to get a swift replacement... It wasnt raining, so I kept the roof off....in fact it was quite mild and I really enjoyed the drive in. As I came into Gloucester, i noticed a few seagulls up ahead but thought nothing of it until I passed underneath and then saw what I can only describe as a shower of bird shit heading in my general direction - now, i'm not convinced they were bombing me inparticular, but it certainly felt that way. I managed to dodge one load but unfortunatly, a car was coming onto the rou…

Every year I enter a friendly F1 competition to predict the first 3 drivers in each race and also the fastest lap. This year (if you're up for it) I've decided to make it an mloc entry The person/team with the most points at the end of the season gets a crate of champagne so it's got to be worth a go!!! (and it isn't any old cheap tesco blonk either!!) A couple of days before each race i get an email from the organiser and he gives an update on current standings and a bit of blurb on his opinion on all things F1 related. I've copied his first email below. All I need from you lot is your opinon on 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions and who will get the fastest lap. Th…

Scraped the front of the car reversing off a friends drive. Unfortunately its on an incline and when the rear goes onto the road, the front of the car dips into the drive/road area. Front plate came off, stuck it back on with new stickies. However taken a small chunk of the fibre out on the front underneath left and a crack is there also. Will get some quotes and get it sorted. Welcome me to the world of Lotus ownership! I have some piccies but I can't login to my website at present, so I'll post links when they're up. Stu

Hi all, I too will become a Lotus owner on Saturday, a 111R with a few mods. Really looking forward to the meets etc. When's the next one near Silverstone? I see there are a few other newbees too so I won't be the only rolling roadblock on track

Hi There. Just about to book a track day in the next couple of weeks and I'm considering sessions at either Snetterton on 17th(with motorsport vision) or Angelsey on 11th (with CircuitDays) . I'm aware that Anglesey was reshaped / resurfaced last year but wondered if anyone had been there since and if so, what you reckoned. Also, although I've been to motorsportvision days before (which were very well organised) has anyone used CircuitDays? Max.

After several long months of vacillating and worrying about Lotus's being costly to insure and sometimes unreliable etc etc etc, I have finally done it! This afternoon I put a deposit down on an Elise S2 111S after a highly entertaining test drive on a quality B road in Staffordshire. Insurance sorted (ouch says the wallet) so now I am simply waiting for the seller to complete the 4-year B service with Lotus, and then....she's all mine. This time next week I'll be picking it up - something of a dream come true. It's a May 2004 model, yellow with black wheels and hard top. I'm based in Leicestershire and look forward to getting involved with MLOC. Cheers!

Anyone else playing Gran Turismo 5 prologue ? I have my exact car in my virtual garage, great for driving in my living room when my son is tucked up in bed. Driving physics are scarily real, especially with my steering wheel. Only a few gamers seem to choose Lotus, so I try to see if there are any MLOC members playing, but maybe I am the only sad spode who drives a simulation when the real car is sat resting. Send me your gaming tag and I'll race ya ! I am SEAMUS-10, same as here. James

After this weekend at Donnington im contemplating doing a few track days, just wondering if anyone has any ideas about prep and the best way to get into it. Never done any track stuff before so any help would be appreciated. Also thinking about doing a Lotus driver training day first (could be a good idea).

I left my car with the missus for the weekend (my stag do) and she managed to get her laptop trapped in the boot (not opening), after scouring the forum for solutions I went back out the car this morning determined to get it out. After about 10 minutes of giggling and light tapping I came to the conclusion that the pull cord was still attached, as I could here the mechanism working, but the thing was not releasing. As I'm not very mechanically minded I decided to give up and ring a few garages for advise/book it in before I broke it, unfortunatly a mix of earlist availablity Thursday and the the missus "I really need that today" prompted me to have one last go....…

While the 8-door '57 Chrysler limo almost beat out the stretched Ferrari 400i limo in our last Choose Your Eternity poll (and what an upset of reigning PCH Superpower, Italy, that would have been!), V12 power and Italian build quality seem to have triumphed over fins and rust. Today we need to see how Italy fares against its fellow PCH Superpower, Great Britain (with the winner moving on to take on France, of course). And, just to make things more fun, we're going with some serious Malaise machinery today, because Euro-Malaise is inherently cool-yet-hellish. Can you get a Ferrari project for just $5,500? As anyone who has gone car shopping on any Cra…
