S1 Headlights

Found this headlight unit whilst doing some research last night.  Unless I'm missing something, they should be a straight swap.  OK, they appear convex, not concave, but not by much.  At that price, I think I'd put up with that anyway !  You'd probably not even notice if you had headlight covers.

Also found this useful write-up of someone that's done a proper Bi-Xenon conversion of a car that has 5.75" units.  As I understand it, as long as you use a clear lens (ie not one that is designed to create a beam pattern), the RHD units should give the correct beam pattern through a clear lens.  Assuming that's the case, there should be no problems with the beams being totally f*cked up by putting a Bi-Xenon bulb in a unit designed for a halogen bulb.

Bit of DIY needed, but we're all up for a bit of that, aren't we... http://www.bobclevenger.com/headlight_project.html

The quality looks really good but I didn't fit them as the lens is not very OE.  In fact I think they're better looking and better made. You are welcome to have them Kurt as I wont be using them.
