Eric
Dany Bahar gets his revenge.... http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/suzuki-plans-six-new-models-2017 Only joking. Sounds spookily familiar though!! Hang on a minute, doesn't that look scarily similar to an Evoque?
richbk
Good luck Suzuki, Although flawed as Bahar's plans were, at least it was a plan, The cars looked stunning, I for sure would have bought one, just needed major investment that was never going to happen. Despite good exige v6 sales I see no " brave new dawn" at lotus, just conservative gradual decline, and that makes me sad
Steve J
Yep looks like another Evoque design copy attempt. Perhaps these will materialise but I don't understand why a manufacturer would announce such a move so far in advance with nothing to show yet. Lots of good news has been coming out of Hethel, after the very sad job losses of course. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions and sacrifices for the good of the Company. I may be wrong, but he is not shy of making bold decisions, and he's prudent too. They seem to have put a clear strategy in place that will turn the company around to profitability. Just google 'Jean Marc Gales'
chris_h
For me the only shame is they didn't keep the esprit development. I unstand that when MJK left it was nearly finished. Bahar started it from the beginning again, with new engines etc. that is now canned. Wonder if the MJK plans have been pulled out of the bin and dusted off. Just google 'Jean Marc Gales' And product quality is coming on leaps and bounds now. I couldn't be happier with the new Elise S. For example, the gear change action is now so good that you can almost think it into the next gear. It's on a different planet to the Exige!! I did see an article about DB's new job somewhere. Joint owner of a company in Saudi (I think) that will basically modify high end super cars and luxury cars to the customer's every desire, no matter what the cost.
