rocketian
If you ever get the chance to see Eric "Winkle" Brown speak - jump at it. He was a WW2 pilot, has flown more type of aircraft than any one else in the world and done more carrier landings. He is in his mid 90s now, I saw him speak at Cosford a few years ago. There was a BBC programme a few weeks ago "Britain's Greatest Pilot" absolutely astonishing character. His book "Wings on my Sleeve" is an definite "must read" for anyone interested in aviation http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wings-My-Sleeve-Worlds-Greatest/dp/0753822091
