scatty Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Lol @ doc brown. I wish you hadn't put that in my mind. Do they check all this on a geom set up?
DeanB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Scatty on yours and mine they will check and set front toe (aka tracking) rear toe and camber all round. They will also weigh the car, and give you a sheet showing before and after measurements/settings, total car weight and individual corner weights. To argue about in the pub. On cars with adjustable ride height they do a bit more....You will see on the day. BTW I rang and asked for a quote at Gugliemi motorsport cos I had heard good things about them - nothing but good things in fact - and they charge £180 plus vat for basic geo, over £300 for corner weights as well. Seemed a tad dear to me - certainly makes what we are paying on the geo day look like a bargain.
scatty Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 definately a brilliant price dean.i paid £150 on my previous car at tractive so i know the price we are paying is bloomin brilliant!!! the only downside is you have to put up with me for the day.... think im more excited at how much the old tin can weighs....
DeanB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 We are getting it at mates rates. I don't think it will always be this cheap. Should be a good fun day, I'm looking forward to it.
G Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 The price at your geo day is very good, think I paid around £120 at Essex including printouts. Maybe I should have a bit more faith in my trusty pole rig as I was only out a fraction out on one wheel. Would be up for the geo day but just had it done. Maybe next time.
jimbo07g41 Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 The Basford place is not too far from me. They use a 4 wheel Hunter system. They can do basic toe in and out but didnt use any ballast in the seats when I used them, so not impressed. They only had basic settings for my car and didnt adjust camber.

That is why a race specialist - Steve G, is so much better
