Jonathan E Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 The hole on the right is the one that on most Elises is blanked off. This pic shows what is behind the blanking plate,if you can get the bulb holders then its just a matter of fitting them and plugging the pigtails into the wiring loom.
wantalotus Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 I did this to a previous 111r, but dont remember it being this simple. I ground out the blanks, and souced the bulb holders, but I dont think that the looms had spare connectors, so I had to splice into the pigtails to feed the new bulbs. Also I had to uprate a fuse as when tail/reverse/brake lights were on it popped the 10A. Did I miss something with the looms?
Jonathan E Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 I got the lights complete with bulb holders and the connectors, ground out the blank in the inner set, fitted the bulb holders so they are now the same as the outer units except for the reversing lights and plugged them into the loom via the connector, the wiring is already on the loom that supplies the inner set, so no need to upgrade any fuses. hth Regards Jon
