dw1 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 One of my shocks has got very hard to adjust the stiffness on my Nitron ntr shocks. i think it’s may be a tiny bit of grit has got into the thread as it turned it. Would lithium grease spray work or GT85, which is better to carefully work into the thread where you adjust the stiffness?
Daveb99 Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 I would think almost any lube would be fine, I think I’d go for GT85 out of those two.
dw1 Posted February 13, 2024 Author Posted February 13, 2024 Cheers, have just bought some off Amazon. Out of interest why that over the lithium grease spray which is supposed to be good for metal to metal?
dw1 Posted March 10, 2024 Author Posted March 10, 2024 As a follow on; spray used and worked into the shock dial, now works well. Grit had got into the thread. Have now also bought a little brush that will reach in so that before I turn the adjuster I'll brush clean to reduce the chance of a repeat!
