macey Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Help! Oli light is permanently on! Plenty of oil according to dipstick. Anyone else seen? 36k on car
Lithopsian Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Probably the pressure switch no longer working, fingers crossed. It is fairly reliable but has been known to fail. Either that or you'd have noticed your engine melting in fairly short order! Or could just be the switch connectors. Either way, probably best not to drive it until you're sure. I think it is located near the oil filter on the passenger side of the engine block on your car. There is another oil pressure switch for the VVT mech, but that doesn't turn the warning light on and off. You don't have an Accusump on there, do you?
