DC2-CJH Posted June 20, 2024 Author Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) New road tyres went on the other week (Yokohama V105's) 195/50/R1684W - Front 225/45/R1791W - Rear (With correct MO markings as specified by Lotus cars) The ones on there were the Factory Fitted AD07's which had covered 14.4K miles in total, the rears had 1.8mm and 1.6mm and the fronts still over 4mm and looks brand new (sidewalls etc), however they were rock solid and with manufactured dates of 2014 they had to go as there is no way they were decent still. DeanB Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Looks lovely that does. I have the V105s and like them as a road tyre - especially when it's cold and/or wet. Quote

For the road they are perfect as they cover all angles well, I have other wheels with dedicated track tyres for that proper use of the car so these are the perfect choice imo Quote
DC2-CJH Posted July 3, 2024 Author Posted July 3, 2024 (edited) So with the intermittent weather broken down over two days the car got a full deep clean inside and out, suspension wheels off for suspension next. The interior came up really well considering the age etc and it's looking quite fresh now with the ally chassis polished up Edited July 3, 2024 by DC2-CJH 1 Quote
DC2-CJH Posted July 9, 2024 Author Posted July 9, 2024 2024 - 2025 MOT day and passed as expected Typically as per a standard summer it rained as soon as I got the car out and both whilst driving too and from the MOT station, the only time it was dry was whilst it was inside... Some of these show how low the oem setup is against a standard curb and whilst on the MOT brake test. Quote
Popular Post DC2-CJH Posted November 26, 2024 Author Popular Post Posted November 26, 2024 Well the car's now locked away until the new year. Shame as this years been a write off due to an ongoing injury which caused me to be unable to even drive the car for just over 6 months and so 100% of the track season missed. A full track service and Track insurance wasted for the second year and next to no miles covered again 😞 2 Quote
DC2-CJH Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 It's been a while since I posted as I have not been using the car. A whole 288 miles since the full major service was done in 2024 and finally the cars out again. Annoyingly within the first drive I noticed that it was running off, the ECU log showed a dead Wideband O2 sensor so that was the first thing to be fixed. Then I decided to get the car fully mapped to ensure everything is running as it should be and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Rear diffuser removal for the new O2 Sensor On the Hub dyno for a fresh map as the car felt a little off and was drinking fuel more than normal Although the car has more power to offer it was restricted by the current updated 550cc injectors hitting their limit. In order to get to the next stage it needs the 1000cc (ID1050X) injectors, however it's not recommend (unless chasing every single bhp) until I consider or do more mods (bigger charge cooler etc), Today's max = 256whp (302bhp) on a hub dyno Graph for the earlier run = 254.9whp 301bhp Quote
DeanB Posted May 24 Posted May 24 That torque curve is impressively flat. Lovely car by the way. Quote

The power delivery is spot on now and the car is so easy to drive and predict (even when cornering) where I can carefully modulate the power delivery, it drives like it never has before 1 Quote
