I'm going to try and get there too (for the social thing only tho), so ... Who is going and on what day? (There is a Friday and a Saturday it seems). It would be nice to meet up with you.

jonnyfox Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Always a pleasure Simon :-) Had an evening run on the A5 to Bangor which was fun, especially with the sun setting to complete darkness. Chalky and a few others in there Exige's, an Elise (lots of Honda power) and me in the S4 Avant. On arrival straight to the pub for an excellent social over a meal and a few beers. The day itself, blue sky's, sunshine and a little wind child. Pesky received Con's Red Caliper Award (Con was an MLOC'er who died after complications on an operation after a snowboarding accident last year incase some dont know). Lots of track time, a few red flags most mechanical and just all round good fun I would have thought (not me, just a social exercise). All are welcome it's an Exiges.com day but like MLOC it's a very warm welcoming site with great members :-)
Numbnutz Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 I got there late (only for the social) due to a number of things going wrong (mostly getting stuck in bhol day traffic). So I only got there around 4ish. It was a bit chilly with the wind, and I thought if some of those cars are under 105db, then I'm definitely ok, but as I was chatting to some guys, they said they don't noise test so much there and some of the SC Hondas are hitting 115db - sounded like it too. Was good to chat to a few people, look over some cars, and watch some of the late action. I'll definitely be attending next years, with some better planning needed to make surethe car is definitely ready in time.

Yes! - get that Exige sorted It's as much an annual Lotus meetup as a trackday I reckon - the atmosphere and banter is absolutely brilliant and everyone is made totally welcome. Anyone has a problem with their Lotus (or any other make) - there's generally someone there who has experienced a similar prob before and is able to help you out. Hardly did any laps as was far too busy chatting Anglesey is a brilliant circuit too - totally suited to the characteristics of a Lotus - very technical with no banzai long straights
