Bramble111s
Hi all, Was most concerned to find 35.6 litres going into my tank last night, I knew I was a bit low, but crikey, have never even got near 35 litres! Usual is about 27 litres.... Must have been pretty near stopping! Anyone beat that fill up?
steve-n
usually mine is 31 litres 'ish, the maximum milage per tank was 370 miles. usually 350.00 at between 36 to 38 miles per gallon.
MarkW
40.5 litres - almost fainted as the car was really running on fumes! M
Reg
Went to 77 litres in the Esprit a few times (2 x 38 litre tanks)
Mark H
Probably not a good idea as you will end up sucking all the muck into your filter.
Bramble111s
Certainly not a good idea, hence the horror! 77 litres, Mmmm, that put a dent in your wallet then! 40.5! Impressive! Must've been coasting! yikes, dont think that'll be beaten!
Steve J
What's more impressive is getting 110 miles to the tank on a run
Sonya
I thought the standard S1 tank was only 38 litres maximum capacity?
Steve J
2 litres in the filler pipe possibly? Not much room for fuel expansion if it was that full.
Ruxpin
I play the fuel game a bit safer in the elise but for the 306 the record is 60.8 litres in a 60 litre tank... edited to say: and being a diesel i'm quite pleased it didn't run out
ally
On the same vein, has anyone noticed that you only get one warning click from the pump when the tank is full. The next click is usually accompanied by petrol spraying all over you new F?#K*ng suit! ( Just had to get that one off my chest). Or is that just mine? bermudabob
I usually get about 2 or 3 clicks.. the last one being a bit tentative though..
Ruxpin
Warning click? If i wait for the click i'm normally doused
Fozzy
I must be doing something wrong then because I'm only getting 230 miles out of a full tank in mine Does having a hurricane induction kit & Sports Zurst have any great impact on MPG?? DunkHSP
Yep, 250 miles is probably the most I'll get from mine before I start to panic. As with most cars a long 'steady' run sees me better figures but the short blast to work and back everyday doesn't do much justice to the mpg. Haven't track dayed yet but I should imagine a big drop. (dayed, is that a word?)
