Of course 171bhp is shocking when Lotus claim 190bhp, I'm afraid it's perfectly normal though.  So many bullshit horsefigures getting touted around by both specialists and manufacturers which is unfortunate for those honest engine builders who aren'twilling to play that game.

ive found a lot of references to dave andrews (dva) on exiges .com has anyone used him ???? also is it right that an emerald ign ecu will stop air con working (not that its any good anyway)

Yeh he is the god when it comes to Kseries. The emerald will stop the con air working although if you look on Exiges.com there is someone who created a black box to get round that. I think they will make you one if you ask.
