GreyKnight
Only noticed it a couple of days ago, my steering wheel is very slightly off centre (to the right). I don't remember hitting any pot holes that would have caused this, I'm a bit uncertain how it could have happened. Is it something I could correct, or is it a dealer job? It's not really a problem, but it's annoying... Thanks Graham
Jonathan E
I had a well known Lotus dealer try to sort mine out 3 times and it still wasn't right,in the end I removed the wheel and moved it on the spline, took a couple of goes but got there in the end,btw this was after a full geo so I safely assumed that everything else was ok,apparently the car S2111s had never been set up correctly at the factory, which is also a common fault Theres alot of info on the brit cars bbs technical section regarding adjustment of track rods etc, search for steering wheel in the archives, seems its a very common problem hth Regards Jon
dss123
Gray, It seems strange that this has "just happened". It's not uncommon to get things a little out of line if you have removed your rack for any reason - (new gaters etc) or even new TREs. There are are 2 or 3? splined UJs along the steering wheel shaft and at the steering wheel it's self. I suppose it's possible that anyone of these joints has come loose and slipped or you've knocked something and bent a track rod arm? I would certainly get it all checked out though, cos if something has come loose you need to get it sorted asap! Cheers Dunc
