Damn Driveway!

Just scrapped the front end of my Elise leaving a mates driveway Only went there to show off my new Sports exhaust............that will teach me not to show off : At least the drive back was rapid and loud !

I can't get mine on or off my own drive without scraping it.

Jim, put some thick adhesive tape under the front clam. If you do scrap it will be the tape not the fibreglass that gets the worst of it.

i use a strip of carpet (8ftx2ft) on my drive to stop mine scraping, just went into a local shop and asked for an off cut.

At lunch today I stood by the side of the road and got my mate to drive my elise past me a few times just so that I could hear what it sounded like from low revs to the red line......very impressed, it sounds better than in the car

try the one under the holiday inn in the middle of leicester; its a nice long one!

 

dont get too carried away though, there are traffic lights at each end (I left 4 nice fat skid marks all the way out of the tunnel heading north a couple of years back in my rx7)

Surely it would neater to carpet the whole drive? Or perhaps wooden laminate would look more contempory Ian!

It would certainly be better than rolling up a soggy strip of carpet when it has been raining!

Wouldn't it be better in the long run, to just dig up, & re-lay your drive, at an Elise friendly gradient?
