Jo23 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I saw the Sugababes if that counts Says 'band' not girly group Oasis (3x) Stereophonics (3x) Arctic Monkeys (3x) Hi Fi Kasabian Pigeon detectives Bloc Party The Music The Kooks Boy Kill Boy Franz Ferdinand Feeder Turin Breaks The Subways Ash Humanzi Muse Klaxons The Streets (As a supporting band, not coz i really wanted to, although they were very good) There are probably more as we've seen a lot of supporting bands and been to festivals, but some we never took notice of their names or can't really remember them all. One Oasis gig was very small, seen lots of famous ppl there like Beckham and some of the Man u team (Barthez and Phill Neville) as well as Sienna Miller and Jude Law and of course......Mommy Peggy Gallagher
Laura Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 In my youth I saw: The Charlatans (x2) The Stereophonics Ocean Colour Scene The Bluetones There were more I am sure but I can't remember them now, oh and most recently I saw Girls Aloud
Jo23 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Love Ocean colour scene too! I must confess, i'd quite like to 'experience' a System of a down gig, but i wouldn't wana stand in the crowd, i'd get squished. The girls HATE it when i'm playing them I sing and thrash around to wind them up, they just need to give them try, especially their song Chop Suey! Anyone else know this song/ band? If not have a listen.....give them a chance.... http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...vt=lf&hl=en
jez o Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I'm bound to forget some but here goes! Jo- I've seen SOAD a few years ago- brilliant and if you like them, you might like some of the bands listed below. Tool (many times- awesome, live or recorded) Monster Magnet (loads of times) Faith no More Soundgarden Guns and Roses Metallica System of a Down HED Pe Audioslave A Perfect Circle Marilyn Manson Red Hot Chili Peppers L7 Can't remember all the support bands, but nobody will probably have heard of 'em anyway!
Fiona Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I've seen absolutely hundreds. Got all my tickets stashed away so if I CBA I could always type them out. SOAD are very good and see a lot on Jez's list (also seen Tool many times - one of my faves), Metallica, Rush, Foos, Audioslave, FnM, etc, etc.
jez o Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 (also seen Tool many times - one of my faves) Fiona- good choice!! If you didn't already know, 'A Perfect Circle' is one of Maynard's side projects and very good- not quite as heavy as Tool, but his voice is awesome. He's also just released an album under the name 'Puscifer' which you should get. The album is called 'V is for Vagina' for some strange reason! Metallica's new album is brilliant too! Jez

Laura Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 The girls HATE it when i'm playing them I sing and thrash around to wind them up My music choice is not supported by Jon - but my car, and its my stereo so hands off!! Would have liked to have seen Ash they would be great. I saw the Streets as a support act too. I learnt my lesson thrashing around though so be warned - I was out with my friend and Smells Like Teen Spirit came on so I made use of my long hair throwing my head around but pulled my neck and could hardly move it for a week

They are awesome, used to listen to them all the time as a kid and got all their songs even now. Really got into David Bowie too when Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes were on. Did you see any of these on tv? Full of OMD, ELO and D. Bowie! I'm glad i'm not the only person who likes to listen to SOAD, Liam introduced my to them a couple of years ago. Not really my type of music but their lyrics are very 'true' and meaningful. Chop Suey really did it for me...... and 'my c*ck is much bigger than yours......and the tapeworm song..... and the rest..... (like Placebo too, got a couple of albums)
Whiz Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Chris Rea, Beautiful South, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie. Think that's everyone. Ali
