Are mintex pads any good?

The 1144 are supposed to be very good... the std ones not so.

OE are actually supposed to be quite good.

 

If you are doing them, they are about £25 extra per axle for the 1144, so gotta be worth it?

1144's need some heat in them to get the best from them though. On my Lupo they only really showed their true worth when I was in Wales. Everyday driving they were possibly worse than standard.

Mintex are crap!

 

Contact Guglielmi Motorsport and get some SBS pads. Only slightly more expensive than the Mintex but they are on a par with Pagids.

Steve, are you running S2 standard disks ?

Do as Mark says then... if there is something as good as Pagid for not much extra, has to be worth a punt

Used Mintex on an Elise and they were Crap!

 

Green stuff is better than Mintex for less money.

 

SBS have been on my car for approx 6-8months now and they are excellent.

What is standard ? Sure LTS std maybe mintex 1184 or something like that on my 111s.

 

had braided lines and they worked a treat ! was a learning curve but bloody hell my passengers praised them when I went on full depress without squeel or skid.

Yes Mark, standard S2 discs. How much were your discs? I'd like pagids but if I can get the same performnace without the huge cost then sound like a no brainer to me.
