Does anyone know whether you need to modify this exhaust to fit the std elise s1, some one has told me that because it is mainly for the exige that the tail pipe is too long for the elise clam so it sticks out quite a way and that you would need to cut the pipe and then weld the oval end back on.

Check that thread few down, you dont need to chop it but if you dont then it will stick out slightly further as the Exige clam is bigger.

 

The thread has pictures of an Elise with it fitted.

Yup, i know of a few and have seen a few... no mods needed but it does stick out a little bit.

If anyone finds the thread about the rolling road back in Feb, there's some links to photos of mine with the Exige exhaust. Doesn't stick out as far as I can tell.

Another thing, though - mine's a more rounded oval than some oval exhausts. Not sure if they're both "Exige" exhausts, or if one's an "Exige" and the other's a "Sports".

The Eliseparts oval exhaust is the "squared off" one with parallel top & bottom edges. The genuine Exige is a proper oval - so I'm told
