CHOPPA Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I am surprised this hasn't had a mention on here. Aparently there is a Veyron there too. http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/ Anyway, looking out the window and thanks to rubbish weather, there will be no Choppa jollys today So I think I will be braving the elements and a group of us are going to have a look see. I will take the camera!
Matt C Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 If it wasn't raining, I would go.... Have entered to race there in July.
chorton_1 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I was there - my family are French car nuts and had 3 cars there so I felt compelled to go despite the weather. The Veyron was taking it easy but it was still nice to see it going up the hill.
CHOPPA Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 I thought he was doing quite well considering the weather! It really was dire! It's the first time I have seen a Veyron and I'm glad I've seen one being driven. What a job that guy must have! Nice vid Chorlton, I took one aswell but I can't post it (too dumb). Did you see the 205 that crashed? Got a couple of pics of that too, but it might not be PC to post them. But here are a couple of pics for those that are interested. We lasted about 3 hours there and then had to seek refuge back in town at the pub to thaw out. I've got a few more pics if needed. A
Matt C Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Blimey that was wet! Well done for braving it - true die hard motorsport fans! Veyron looked good.
chorton_1 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Found this video of the Veyron at Prescott on the [dry] Saturday. and some good pics: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=325389 Quite impressive with 46.4s. A 'Top 10' runoff car completes in c.38s but 46s is 5s quicker than a production Ferrari - not bad considering how tight and twisty parts of the circuit are. http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/uploads/...and_Results.pdf
Martin R Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Ive never been to Prescott, looks like fun. Put a post in events when you are competing Matt. If we are free we will come and have a nosey
malbon Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 That doesn't look very good in black does it ? MUCH !!!!!!
chorton_1 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Where's Christturbo when you need him! I think the car is still two tone but the base colour is very dark green. I agree though, it does look the dogs danglies in that scheme.
CHOPPA Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 It was two tone, green and black. Let us know when you are competing Matt, I will try and come along too for some support.
