Bailey
Could any one out there tell me how hard it is to fit a new trophy throttle body. Is it a straight forward job to do like an induction airfilter? Or should i get someone who knows what there doing to fit it?
Ladders
Think it's just a simple case of unbolting the old one and fitting the new one in it's place!

Mark H
Its pretty easy, check this guide: http://www.btinternet.com/~tjthompson/diy/throttlebody.htm
Simon G
Pretty straight forward, did mine, if you need a hand give me a shout. One bolt is a bit tricky. You need to make sure the butterfly fully opens and closes on the new one.
courtster
Did a breaker search and found a place that sell these for £75 inc VAT & P&P if anyone is interested. Email: [email protected] Subject: 160 Throttle Body
dobbo
Is it worth doing to a fairly standard car (Sports exhaust, CRP and induction kit) Cheers,
courtster
Deft worth doing IMHO, it feels more responsive, just can be a bit jerky with small throttle opening e.g. stop start in traffic.
Scott_Mac
Replied in the other thread, but i'm gettin mine on ASAP - its in a box in the garage at the mo! There is a place in Wolverhampton that sells them for £75... Apparantly it is well worth doing apart from (as said above) it makes it a bit tricky in traffic to be smooth... Mark H
They are better than the crappy sticky plastic ones but its one mod that I wouldnt personally do again gievn the choice, didnt like the throttle in traffic at all.
KiwiPete
Takes about 1/2 hour, the hardest part is the rear bottom bolt. However it is important to set up the throttle adjustment afterwards and this requires two people. If you need any info on this I'll email you a copy of the section from the service notes Cheers Peter
