Valencia Test T01 - Thursday 3Rd February

DRIVER: Jarno Trulli

 

LAPS: 38

 

BEST LAP: 1.31.477

 

JARNO TRULLI: "It has been a very positive first day, despite the fact we deliberately didn't set any meaningful laptimes as the car is missing a few parts that will be with us tomorrow. Nevertheless, the car feels great - it has good grip and today we were able to concentrate on carrying out work on the systems which we were going to have to do at some point anyway. Now we can concentrate on building up the performance levels tomorrow and in the next tests, so while it's a shame I couldn't have a full taste of the car, it was still a very positive first day in the new car."

 

MIKE GASCOYNE: "We had a limited programme today due to the lack of power steering on the car. Under those circumstances 38 laps was the full programme and I want to say well done to Jarno for completing the plan in a car that was clearly hard work to drive. On the positive side we have now completed the systems checks on fuel, aerodynamics and cooling and were able to do start simulations, so with the fact we have another full day of testing tomorrow with both race drivers and the power steering we are aiming to step up to focusing on performance on our third day in Valencia."

    I have a bit of a Lotus model and memorabilia collection that I inherited from my Father that really needs to be moved on. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience on the best way to deal with this?

    TRD Airbox for Elise

    Hi, Apologies if this has been answered recently - I've just joined and couldn't find anything in the search.   I've recently bought a 2018 Elise Sport 220 which I've been enjoying hugely. About the only thing I'd like to change is the sound, and I've read that a TRD airbox is a big improvement. The problem, of course, is I have also read they are no longer made and I can't find any in stock either. So does anyone have any suggestions: - where might I be able to find one?

    Evora 400 Audio Upgrade?

    Hi Guys It took me over a couple of hours to drive back from LiTP because of traffic etc. Its the first time I tried listening to the stereo and it was pretty dismal. I did some research and it turns out my car left the factory without the rear amp, subwoofer, cabling and brackets so I'm probably looking to install a mini amp, sub and upgrade the front speakers as apparently they are very poor. Just wondering if anyone else has done anything similar to their Evora and what they did. Wo

    Elise K Series Upgrade

    Hello All. Hopefuley this all ends well with a bit more power in the back. I have a 04 plate Rover S2. it says 'S' on the V5 which should be Supercharged. But its very much not. Its claim to fame is being January 2026 in the MLOC calendar My plan. Find a 160 K Series and engin swap. What could posibly go wrong... I would like to blog this for 2 reason. 1.
