Lotus Take On Lmp2

Lotus will power Lola LMP2 coupe for the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)

 

Competing under the team name Lotus with a Lotus engine housed in a brand new Lola LMP2 coupe the team will contend the 2012 FIA WEC which kicks off in Sebring on March 17th. The team of Kodewa, which is running the programme, comprises of experts with a vast pedigree in not only endurance racing but also F1, DTM and lower formulas.

 

The car will be compliant with the latest regulations set out by the ACO/FIA and will run with a traditional Lotus black and gold livery in a very special design, more details on this and testing plans to follow in the coming weeks.

 

Commenting on the announcement Group Lotus Director of Motorsport Claudio Berro said: “This is a very exciting step for us, we made no secret of our intention to tackle LMP2 this year but it had to be done in the right way and we’re very happy with the set up with our partners. More than anything else, we’re looking forward to our return to Le Mans in this capacity after our success with the Evora last year. The engine development is going well but there’s a lot to do over the coming weeks to ensure that the car is prepared for the intensive testing that we must undertake to ensure we’re ready to complete.”

    Service & Tyres

    Took my Elise sport 220 for a full service at PJS unfortunately they picked up a slash in my rear tyre so had it booked back in for V105's all-round as was still on the original AD07's. Very happy with the service both times. They are a good bunch and Paul spent time going through what they were going to do and then at the end explained exactly what they found as part of their checks and the service. I am new to a Lotus, so this was my first service of the car so appreciated this. Car servi

    TRD Airbox for Elise

    Hi, Apologies if this has been answered recently - I've just joined and couldn't find anything in the search.   I've recently bought a 2018 Elise Sport 220 which I've been enjoying hugely. About the only thing I'd like to change is the sound, and I've read that a TRD airbox is a big improvement. The problem, of course, is I have also read they are no longer made and I can't find any in stock either. So does anyone have any suggestions: - where might I be able to find one?

    Evora 400 Audio Upgrade?

    Hi Guys It took me over a couple of hours to drive back from LiTP because of traffic etc. Its the first time I tried listening to the stereo and it was pretty dismal. I did some research and it turns out my car left the factory without the rear amp, subwoofer, cabling and brackets so I'm probably looking to install a mini amp, sub and upgrade the front speakers as apparently they are very poor. Just wondering if anyone else has done anything similar to their Evora and what they did. Wo
