Calado To Stay With Lotus Gp

Lotus GP is pleased to announce an extension of their current partnership with the Racing Steps Foundation and James Calado. The young, RSF-backed British driver defended the company colours successfully in GP3 and GP2 in 2011 and 2012, making a strong impression in his debut appearances in both disciplines while training for the highest level of motorsport, F1.

After a successful year in GP2 last season, where he secured two pole positions and two victories, James Calado, the series 'top rookie', will now take part in his second season in the F1 feeder series with high ambitions.

James Calado:

“I am absolutely delighted to receive the ongoing backing from the RSF that enables me to take part in this incredibly competitive championship again and even more so to do it with Lotus GP again. I feel privileged to be a part of this project and to have the support of great partners without whom none of this would be possible. In terms of speed, we showed in 2012 that we were right up there with pole positions and a couple of wins. Now I know the car, the tyres, and the team I'm expecting to be fast and to win as many races as possible. I'm looking forward to 2013 and I hope I'll improve after such a good year in 2012.”

Frédéric Vasseur:

“After an exceptional first year which was part of his continuity from GP3, James is a Lotus GP driver for the third consecutive year. This is a project that fits perfectly with the company, one of the missions being to assist drivers in climbing the motorsport ladder. In 2012, James had several achievements in GP2 and with the support of his environment, which allows us to work together harmoniously and confidently, we approach 2013 with one clear objective, to be champions”

  • Lotus Model Collection

I have a bit of a Lotus model and memorabilia collection that I inherited from my Father that really needs to be moved on. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience on the best way to deal with this?

    TRD Airbox for Elise

Hi, Apologies if this has been answered recently - I've just joined and couldn't find anything in the search.   I've recently bought a 2018 Elise Sport 220 which I've been enjoying hugely. About the only thing I'd like to change is the sound, and I've read that a TRD airbox is a big improvement. The problem, of course, is I have also read they are no longer made and I can't find any in stock either. So does anyone have any suggestions: - where might I be able to find one?

    Evora 400 Audio Upgrade?

Hi Guys It took me over a couple of hours to drive back from LiTP because of traffic etc. Its the first time I tried listening to the stereo and it was pretty dismal. I did some research and it turns out my car left the factory without the rear amp, subwoofer, cabling and brackets so I'm probably looking to install a mini amp, sub and upgrade the front speakers as apparently they are very poor. Just wondering if anyone else has done anything similar to their Evora and what they did. Wo

Poster for the 2027 Lotus in the Peaks.

As I’m sure many of you will be pleased to hear, the work has started for 2027 Lotus in the Peaks. Paul (Oakman) had a fantastic idea for next years poster, so today we banded a few cars together and went out to do the photo shot. I happened to leave my dashcam running.  Enjoy   Photoshoot.mp4
