This briefing was given by Dr Robert Hentschel, Director of Lotus Engineering.

Tun Dr. Mahathir was also given a full briefing on the current and future Lotus business plans by Group Lotus plc CEO, Dany Bahar, before viewing the Lotus assembly line where the award winning Lotus Evora, the iconic Lotus Elise and the stunning Lotus Exige are manufactured.

To finish off his visit, Tun Dr. Mahathir test drove the multi award winning Lotus Evora on the Lotus Test Track and experienced what is regarded by many of the world's motoring press as the best sportscar on the market.

Dany Bahar, CEO of Group Lotus plc, said, "It is an honour for us all at Lotus to welcome Tun Dr. Mahathir to Group Lotus and for him to see how our business is growing and changing to match the new market demands for our sportscars and high technology engineering.
