Lotus Leads £2m Supercar Parade For Children In Need

Lotus Leads £2m Supercar Parade for Children in Need

The Lotus Exige S police car operated by East Sussex Police will head a convoy of the

world's most exclusive supercars in a parade of the roads of Britain this week to

support 'Children in Need'.

The supercar tour comprises some of the world's most exclusive marques including:

Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati and Pagani and will commence with an event

hosted by organisers 'GROUP20' at their head office on Tuesday 13th November and

will hit the road at 9am on Wed 14th November.

Naturally, this impressive spectacle will rouse a lot of attention so it is only fitting

therefore that East Sussex Police provide their Lotus Exige S as police escort. The

Lotus Exige S, a worthy inclusion to the supercar line-up in its own right, redefines the

term "Extreme Performance", but also is a proficient guv'nor, capable of keeping any

over exuberant driving in check!

Reaching 60mph in 4.1 seconds from a standing start and 100 mph in less than 10

seconds the Exige S tops out at 148 mph (where the law permits, of course) and is

one of most powerful production cars in the world for its engine size. This phenomenal

performance comes with class leading fuel economy with an impressive official

combined figure of 31.0 mpg (9.1l/ 100 km). There aren't many other production cars

in the world that have such good performance combined with such good fuel economy!

Furthermore, being a Lotus, the Exige S police car is just as at home on the back

roads and city streets as it is on the motorways and the combination of power and

agility will secure the safety of the supercar parade and all other road users.

  • S2 door card fabric - refit

Hi all, first post. I've a 2006 S2 Elise 111R, that I am looking to refit the fabric on the door card. The fabric has come loose, when I take the door card off, it looks like an age thing, in which the glue and 'sponge' backing has simply perished. I dont want to purchase new cards or pay for new ones, as I am keen to keep the car OEM, retaining the original fabric.  Has anyone found that their fabric cards have come loose with age? Have you refitted the fabric? The inner leather secti

    Brake Bleeding

Thought i'd share my recent experience. So I bled my brakes the other month prior to this years (2024) first track day. Standard 2 person method. But the pedal just felt a little spongy afterwards despite the amount I bled it. So much so I struggled to heal and toe on the track afterwards, as the pedal travel was too far down to get my heel up on the accelerator. I recently bought the LASER brake bleed kit (picture below) and used it to re-bleed the brakes. The difference was night and day,

    RIP my wingman Badger

A number of you will have met my dog Badger. He attended LITP 2022 and several Sunday morning ride outs. Sadly my wingman passed away last night. It was going to be his 14th birthday on Sunday 17th March and I was going to organise and bring him along for a ride out. Would give anything for that opportunity now. A few photos of him enjoying a Lotus

Servicing.....self or garage? Which are you?

So, I did a Forum 'service' and 'servicing' search, but couldn't find much about the topic specifically. So thought Id kick one off instead. Servicing. Self or Garage? Lotus are renowned for the servicing required. Lots of specialists out there, and it does come at a premium. But... Changing things like oil, filters, brake/clutch fluids etc, are pretty much the same on a Lotus as on most other combustion engines. The Lotus Service Guides have the full list of things to cover too,
