Lotus Cars Ultimate Track Day

Lotus Cars Ultimate Track Day

Following the Ultimate Track day held at Silverstone, Northamptonshire on the National Circuit back in October 2005, Lotus Cars are building on this success, and will be hosting another event this year in July.

Venue: Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire

Track: International Circuit (2.249 miles long)

Date: Monday 16th July 2007

The Event:

The event will be open to all Lotus owners including Club Lotus members, existing customers with their own cars and also prospect customers via the Lotus Dealer network. We would aim to make this day the complete Lotus Experience, potentially with additional representation from Lotus Dealers, Lotus Club International, Classic Team Lotus, a Lotus Service Clinic plus Lotus Merchandise sales opportunities.

Existing Customer Driving Place Bookings:

A full-day driving place for existing Lotus owners bringing their own cars to drive on track. This would entitle each driving place booking to a minimum of 20 minutes track time in every hour and a two-course seated lunch in a pit-lane hospitality suite.

Cost: Full Day - £225 incl VAT

Additional Drivers - Bookings for additional driver(s) are will permit each additional driver to drive the same car in the same track session (if sessions apply) as the main driving place booking. Lunch is included.

Cost: Full Day - £75.00 incl VAT

Non Driving Guests (and / or drivers' passengers) – Guests are also able to attend with full paying driving guests on the day. Each guest will be entitled to passenger rides with their driver and also a two-course seated lunch in a pit-lane hospitality suite.

Helmet hire - Available by advance booking, if required. A deposit will be required on arrival and refunded in full on safe return of helmet at the end of the event.

Cost: £20.00 per helmet incl VAT

Web Site: www.rmatrackdays.com

Telephone: 01628 779 000

Lotus Prospect Customer Bookings:

Lotus Cars are offering a limited number of driving places to Lotus prospect customer bookings to attend the Ultimate Track Event at Silverstone Circuit on Monday 16th July 2007. Bookings would be on a half-day basis, either Morning or Afternoon, and will be organised by the Lotus Cars Sales & Marketing team.

Each prospect booking will be forwarded to Lotus Cars as a referral from an Official Lotus Cars Dealer, to qualify customers as serious prospects. Only serious prospect customer referrals from Official Lotus Cars Dealers will be accepted.

Non Driving Guests are welcome to attend the event with the driving participant at the cost of £25 per person.

The Lotus product available for track demonstration purposes will be Elise S, Exige, Exige S, and 2-Eleven, and as such prospect customer bookings should be made with these models in mind.

Additionally, The Lotus Europa S will also be available for road demonstration.

Other models such as GT3 concept car will be present as static display.

Cost: £99 per half-day driving place

Note: Prospect customers should be 25 years of age or over and hold a full and valid driving licence, which will need to be supplied on the day. Should a successful sales conversion be made in the following 10 working day period after the event, the attendance fee would be refunded to the customer.

  • What is the point of a Lotus these days?

I have recently changed my Daily from a dirty diesel to an electric.  It struck me that the 0-60 times were almost identical, possibly quicker, to the Exige so my thought was, if comfortable family cars with suitcase room are now performing so well, are our cars becoming obsolete? Has the acceleration potential of EV’s made traditional sports cars meaningless? In an era where electric motor torque is rewriting the rules of straight‑line acceleration, it’s easy to forget what “fast” use

LOTUS Action Camera Mod for rear view mirror

Hi, my name is Marco and I'm from Liverpool, I'm new to this forum and new to Lotus. Towards the end of last year I started to get that itch of wanting a sporty fun car again (I had owned a couple of Mk4 Supras between 2000 & 2009) I was looking for a car that was not too big as it needed to fit into my narrow garage so I could hook it up to a trickle charger as it was not going to be a daily driver. I decided that an Elise would be perfect, after searching for months for the

Toxic Green S-Cup - (Aka Grogu)

Hi all as with most of my cars I thought I’d start a bit of a build thread. However unlike most cars which I bought and built up to be highly modified the plans for the lotus are quite different and so this will be more thread of its life in my ownership. I have also created a Facebook page called “Toxic Green S-Cup - (Aka Grogu)” containing images of its progress pre and post purchase. Newbie question

As the title suggests , a newbie query. I have just bought an S2 Elise , 2007 with the Toyota 1ZZ power unit in ‘ touring spec’. That means electric windows, a radio and , err, not sure what else. Anyway, that is not the subject of the query. The car is blue with a cream interior. The latter I don’t plan to keep. In fact , already bought some equivalent second hand door cards in black and am looking hard at a pair of Corbeau LE seats . So, first part of my query centres on those Corbeau seats. A
