Alesi Goes For The Ride Of His Life!

Lotus Ambassador Jean Alesi took to the runway during the Cannes Film Festival this week. Supermodel Naomi Campbell took F1 legend Jean by the hand as they worked the Fashion For Relief catwalk to raise funds for The Red Cross efforts in Japan.

During the star studded fashion show and auction at the historic Forville Market in Cannes a special edition Evora S donated by Group Lotus was sold for €120,000 to help with the fundraising effort.

Alesi shared the catwalk with stars of stage, screen, fashion and sport. Yasmin Le Bon, Karolina Kurkova, Victoria Silvstedt, Rosario Dawson, Barbara Becker, Novak Djokovic, legendary icon Jane Fonda and Naomi Campbell herself all took a turn on the catwalk for the charity.

Commenting on his modelling debut, Jean Alesi said: "I am so proud to be part of this spectacular event, the people of Japan need all the help they can get and this is a great way to bring people together and make a difference."

Naomi Campbell said: "I love working with our friends at Group Lotus! Fashion For Relief and the charities we support are so very grateful for your support. Thank you to everyone at Lotus who helped us!"

Gino Rosato, Director of Corporate Operations at Group Lotus added: "Fashion For Relief does great work for those in desperate need and we are proud to be part of this fundraising effort. I think many people were touched by the disaster in Japan earlier this year and we're really pleased to be able to do something to help - it's great to see the Lotus family making a difference to families and communities around the world."

  • S1 Type 49 Elise Refresh

And so the winter refresh of my S1 Elise started today. Hoping to take front clam of tomorrow. However of the 4 lower bolts that hold the lower rear to the chassis, 2 are spinning and 2 won't budge despite copious amounts of penetrative oil over the last few months. The Eagle eyed will spot my Dremel tool which I'm not looking forward to using to remove 4 bolt heads that have limited access. Currently on my list are replacing the driving lights brackets, shot blast and paint the tow post, n

    Newbie

Firstly, I just thought I’d make a post to say thanks for letting me join, seems like a friendly forum. I don’t own an Elise currently, but ever since I had some passenger laps around donington park as a teenager a good 15 years ago I’ve always wanted one. Currently have an mr2 and want to stick with a Toyota engine, so I gather I’m looking at an S or 111r model? Hope to see some people at some meets soon.

Hello All I've bought a new front roof seal from elise parts for my S2. It's their aftermarket one with improved drainage. Has any body fitted one of these? If so do you have any advice , tips or tricks. Cheers

    Brake Bleeding

Thought i'd share my recent experience. So I bled my brakes the other month prior to this years (2024) first track day. Standard 2 person method. But the pedal just felt a little spongy afterwards despite the amount I bled it. So much so I struggled to heal and toe on the track afterwards, as the pedal travel was too far down to get my heel up on the accelerator. I recently bought the LASER brake bleed kit (picture below) and used it to re-bleed the brakes. The difference was night and day,
