GCCK
Checking round the car, happened to notice the front tyres almost worn away on inside edges whereas outside edges still have plenty (4mm?) tread left. Those that know me will know I hate throwing anything away, but I've finally seen off those tired old tyres! The good news is that I can now go and buy a nice fresh set of Advans and will have a Geo at the same time. Always thought the front end was a bit "pointy" - could this be why? Fortunately the wear is consistent left-to-right but what does this condition say about my Geo settings? What should the garage be looking out for? Just Geo or possible damage or wear? Expert/ knowledgeable help would be much appreciated, thanks Graeme
Mark H
Mark A is probably the expert for the correct answer but I think its to do with the toe/camber. Mine has done the exact same thing as yours so nothing to worry about, the more straight line (read motorway) driving you do the worse it will be. If your getting a geo check they will sort out anything that is majorly wrong for you anyway

daves2111s
Had the same problem on my Beemer a good geo re-track totally sorted it and the handling was then much better. Dave
Dave S
Hi Graeme Just take it to your local tyre shop and get them to check the tracking. Very cheap can be done while you have a coffee. Save a fortune in worn tyres. Chat soon Dave
