Heph Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Just one stupid question, how can we clean spark plugs and is it of any use? Thanks
Steve J Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Remove plugs from engine. Check gap with feeler guage. Stif brush can be used to clean them. See link below on plugs:- http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinfo/spar...1000&country=US Be careful when putting them back in, as it's easy to cross the thread.
Heph Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 Hi everybody, I passed through the MOT test today with success CO idle: 0.0 CO 2500 rpm: 0.0 Lambda: 0.99 So it was the faulty lambda sensor that was the cause... If anyone is interested, I got my new sensor from www.ntksensors.co.uk for arround 40£ / 60€ It was a universal NTK one so I had to solder it to the old sensor plug, but they also sell complete ones (BOSCH) at good price. They are also pretty fast... I'm not in a hurry to do that jod again as it took me quiet some time... well next time I guess i'll be faster As the manifold was out, I took some time to grind down the welding, it should flow better now.... might gain maybe 1 bhp Thanks everybody for your advices and if anyone need some more details, just let me know....
