MilesH Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Both pretty much of a muchness. Let's face it, most of the engine is still standard. As you say, PTP are closer, have them in stock rather than bought in on demand, do a supply & fit and you'll get the MLOC discount on labour. Mention my name to Richard (sales) or Nick (workshop manager), too. Thanks Graham, will do
Scott_Mac Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Miles, i've argued quite a lot with SteveB over the benefits of either and whilst he sits there and talks left and right about equal length primaries yadda, yadda, at Aldon my car got more torque than any Piper fitted car has achieved, sure it has the 135 head too, but it doesn't seem to suggest that the Janspeed is strangling the car in any way really does it. Oh and when mentioning that to Steve apparently the RR was incorrectly configured, so i gave up at that point. However, i heartily recommend the Janspeed, my car is lacking nothing, goes very quickly and sounds excellent, so i'd go with the Janspeed if i were you.
MilesH Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Cheers Scott, think it makes sense to go for Janspeed! I'd just better make sure my car is no where near as loud as yours with it fitted or I'll be black flagged off every uk trackday!

I'd just better make sure my car is no where near as loud as yours with it fitted or I'll be black flagged off every uk trackday! I certainly rate it... As for loud, admittedly i've not done a trackday in over 12 months, but i've never been questioned for noise at any day i've been on.... the 4-2-1 just made the exhaust note deeper on my car, it's the backbox that makes it loud!
