Hi Tim

I've had a quick look at the ad. It is, I think, fitted with the supercharger originally by Lotus, it is not an aftermarket job.

They stopped making Rover engined cars in 2004 I believe.

The later Toyota engined cars with blowers are heavier than old Rover cars but they have a lot more power and torque, are better built and more suited to touring if you fancy the odd weekend away.

I agree it looks stunning. If it's pulling at your heart strings and is in good nick go and buy it, a love affair will begin I'm sure!

Obvs give it a good going over, check no chassis damage or corrosion (look at front wishbone mounts especially) and make sure the aircon works - don't be fobbed off if it doesn't because the air con pipes in the sills fail and it costs a fortune to replace them!

Good luck

Thanks for the reply

it does look a lovely car

I’m not to bothered about the air con if I’m honest  as I’ve hard they fail

it says it’s had a rebuilt engine by Lotus

Im going to call them to see why
