Morning folks . Car just back from service and MOT , with some fresh drop links and a promise to drive it more this summer !
I thought my moroso baffled sump had sprung a tiny leak on one of the weld seams as this was not an uncommon fault on some of the early ones as a small oil mark was present on the under tray when removed .

Great news is that the sump is still in perfect condition , but the oil filter housing does have a weep around the raised flange that the oil filter screws into , this sits near the sump and oil was running down the seam onto the tray .
Could anyone point me in the direction of a replacement part , either original or upgraded that I should be looking at . It appears to be all part of the housing that takes the 2 oil pipes , but does it also house a cooler ? Not sure I need any additional cooling as the car rarely sees a track these days and I have never had an issue before , but will consider anyone’s best practice or past experience.

cheers

Hi Richard, that reads as if the weep is between the oil filter, and the housing. i.e. what the filter screws into.

Is it the fitting of the oil filter? i.e. some dirt on the seal?

Or is that a misread of the description.....
