Exige Dipped Lights - keep melting the wires

Hi all,

I have a 16 plate Exige that has had a few dipped headlight issues:

1. Initially one dipped headlight stopped working and I assumed it was the bulb
2. Then a few weeks later my second dipped headlight stopped working
3. Checked the bulbs and they were fine.
4. Checked the fuses and they were fine
5. Replaced the Switch Pack Module
6. Worked fine for about 3-4 months
7. Then one dipped headlight stopped working
8. A few weeks later the second stopped working

The connection to the bulb seem to almost get fried/melted like the attached.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

To Add, the wiring is original and the bulbs are standard

Looks like some sort of overload or short issue. Can you test what's (voltage) coming through the plug?

Are they day running lights?
