Mr_Belowski
Posted this on Seloc, and was wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions as to where I could get this damage repaired in the Sheffield area... No idea how it happened - I've not driven into anything, and it can't have been there long cos I'd have noticed it. Looks like it's been bumped or kicked. Anyway, the damage has split the wheel arch spat at the bottom put a half inch crack in the fibre glass and there are a load of hairline stress cracks above the wheel arch and some smaller ones about 6 inches to the right of the Elise lettering on the back. Here's where it must have been knocked: And here's the cracks above the wheel arch: The other marks on these are just dirt / reflections So... anyone got any advice on sorting this out? Is it likely to be silly money, or a few quid? Can any old fibre glass repairer handle this level of damage, or is it going to need a lotus specialist? And what's the likelyhood of matching the colour if the repaired area needs spraying? Are the hairline cracks in the top bit just cracks in the paint? Might they polish out? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Mr_Belowski
Yeah, thought that was a bit optimistic. Someone on Seloc suggested I could be looking at a £500 bill for this. Ah well. There goes next year's track-day fund, only 6 weeks after this year's fund went on a new exhaust I seem to remember someone on here (or was it Nyloc?) having some coachwork done after an 'off' somewhere north of Sheffield

Mr_Belowski
Off to get a quote from my Boxter owning mate's friendly independent mechanic / bodywork specialist. Supposedly he's done lots of fibreglass work (including my mate's bumper). Wonder if this is a clam-off job?
