Very Slow Forum. Do I Need To Do Something?

I use several forums all at 'normal' speed but since the last Forum update here Midland Runs unbelievably slow for me.

 

Do I need to change any settings anywhere?? Does anyone else have the same problem??

 

Any help appreciated as I am no IT wizard !!

It shouldn't be, the independent speed tests for it show that pages load on average in just over 3 seconds. If anything its actually running quicker now than before due to optimizations performed.

 

PC or Mac or mobile device?

What are you running it on? Internet Explorer/Firefox etc and which version?

Check you don't have your cache to clear every time you close your browser?

Do you have broadband and if so what speed?

Finally if you choose "change theme" at the bottom left and change the theme to MLOC mobile does that help?

seems alright this end...the exige forum is another matter altogether for me....

 

go and have a mess about in the settings section....i too am computer illiterate, so this probably wont help at all.....but may make you feel better. or come back and rant at me for making it even slower...

I suspect it will be your broadband speed, just did a test and got the following results:

 

Tested from Amsterdam, Netherlands on January 7 at 20:08:31

 

Load time 1.23s

 

Your website is faster than 86% of all tested websites

 

So as you can see its pretty quick, I do admit there are a lot of large images to download but they should get cached after the first load anyway.
