Car Doenst Want To Start

Not sure whats up with lizzy. the keys go in all the way but doenst turn its kind of locked... same thing also happened today to my other car (Rover) they both have rover parts..

any ideas?

Silly question, but you are trying the right key in the right lock!!

You do know about the steering lock right? try moving the steering wheel at the same time while the key is in the slot.

do you have a heavy bunch of keys on your key ring?

 

if so the constant swinging of them whilst moving causes the barrel or key (whichever is softer) to wear, if this is the case try your spare key and hope that it is the key that is softer.

just got one key not a bunch. i think the lock is knackered

Yes, the lock will be a Vauxhall part.

Use a squirt of WD40, or similar in the lock.
