fentuz Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 I've tested the HIDs on Derbyshire and Yorkshire roads... what a change!!! I could see something at last... Having said that, I saw a car with a weird kit and it was way too bright and badly focused... If you go for such conversion, I'd advice to get a prefer kit (not a £30 ebay jobby) and get it tuned with MOT light check machine.
LivinLaVidaLotus Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Problem is generally with cars that have HIDs fitted aftermarket and have shaped reflectors in the lights - due to the different size of the bulbs/burners they reflect all wrong - which is why an aftermarket upgrade is technically illegal. With the Elise it's not an issue, as it's a lens and a v. v. simple reflector.
