hotpurple Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Sheldon, I've got an obdII reader if you need to use it at some point. It's a cable that plugs into a laptop, it also tells you real time outputs from all the sensors, very useful stuff indeed. Chris
stockhome Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Thanks Chis i bought one and they are the same codes they all seem to point to Air Con which is werid as i do not have air con I have been looking at the service manual and i thing that the fried plug may be a associated with the air con anyone got any idea where i get a new plug ?
Gary ZBJ Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Chris, which reader are you using, I think I might add one to my birthday / christmas list and would like one that links to a laptop etc. Sheldon, if you don't believe the plug goes anywhere, can you not just cut the wires below the fault and then terminate the wires individually so they don't short on each other? Doesn't seem much point to me to go to a lot of effort replacing the plug if it is not used (just my 2p) G
hotpurple Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Gary, I don't know. Just a cheap one from eBay. Works ok though. Sheldon, I agree with Gary, just chop it off and cover the ends of the cables so they don't short. I doubtthe plug is for your idle valve, the car would keep cutting out without it
stockhome Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 i will have a bit of time on my hands so i think i will try to clean it up and see what happens thanks for advice guys
