WHOOSH
I removed my plates and they were fixed on with white double sided tape, pretty tough to get of but give it a good tug, excuse the french.
tazbaz69
spray some WD40 down behind the plate a few times and allow to penertrate as its a degreaser and should then in theory be a lot easier to free it off. worth a try at least
Scott_Mac
Yup Steve has it... use a Badger for the front.
chris_h
Steve, I presume it was put on with the same stuff as mine (as our number plates are near identical). It is a complete nightmare to get it off the front but it seemed to come of the back (metal) very easily in one go. Just a gental tug along the top a bit at a time. The front left a mess that i had to scrape of with a chisell. Chris
Nick gee
Removed mine friday night with a damn good tug(ooer matron)and was left with a very thick covering of glue.Tried picking it off and then white spirits but to no avail so in the end i got the g/f's hairdryer on it heated it up and kinda rolled it off.Cleaned what was left with white spirits and attached new plates. However whilst doing this job found a crack in front clam which has led to the paint crazing(sp)all around it. Can anyone recomend a good spray shop and an idea of cost for a front clam.Seem to remember a thread suggesting one near horizon.

halfpenny
Thanks all. Chris - I'll give it a tug (ooh er Matron !) tomorrow. I'm hoping the back comes off easily. All this to fit a GB Euro plate...... should have just bought a GB sticker and be done with it ! Nick Gee - Funny you mention that......when playing with the front number plate this morning, I noticed a nice chip in the front clam just above the front licence plate. Have filled it with Miliput and paint until I get back from the Land of Cheese and Windmills.

Glennman
Badger.......mmmmmmmmm I myself sorted mine with a raised manhole cover luckily for me it only pulled out the fixing screws and didnt smash the clam to smithereens. Replace it with bike plate size with velcro fixing. Went thru MOT like that which i was surprised about! Glennman

Got the old ones off with a hair dryer and ignorance !
