Neil Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I've had a random question from a guy at work who has just bought a '52 plate VX220 - I'd never met him before but he managed to track me down because he knew I used to have the Elise. Are the gear linkage cables the same on the S2 as they are on the VX220? I wasn't sure as the VX has a different engine, so I assumed different gearbox? He's asking as his have just gone and he's just been quoted over £700 for new cables, which seems a bit like taking the pi$$! I've told him to whip the undertray off and check it's definitely the cables that have gone, but it would be useful if anyone can confirm that the parts are the same. If you happen to know where to pick them up for a decent price as well, all the better. Other options are this, or a trip to PTP or Topgear Automotive. Thanks
