Carlos
Hey people. Ive been checking out the MLOC website for a while and finally decided to register, so this is my Virgin post!! I'm sadly not a Lotus owner at the mo, but looking to purchase a little beauty in the New Year. Would be much appreciated if you folks could help me with the wee prob of my Insurance. At the tender age of 22, insurance guna rip my arm off, but was wondering which Elise's are cheaper to Insurance. I realise a 160 is way out the Question, along with 111's but ive been told a Sports Tourer may be the best option. Any replies will be appreciated. MattyB
Hey Carlos... I got my Sport160 at 22, but I did have full NCB...payed £1500FC with Tesco...try them....and I've even got 3 points and live in a high risk area. But I agree, buy Rawrs

Rawr
Yeah, buy mine. Insurance at 23 was less than a grand from Tesco and the best bit is that I'm not looking to sell it until January! It'll have a new front clam by then (due to me scratching it quite heavily when I drove through my garage door) and will also have new discs, pads and tyres. Full service history and is a *very* well known car in the various Lotus forums so there's nothing about it's history that I'd want to, or indeed could, hide. Will probably have around 30,000 miles on it by January and so price will be 'nice' for whoever gets it. Will probably leave the harnesses in it and the sports exhaust. ITG will be optional. sinatra
Yeah, buy mine. Insurance at 23 was less than a grand from Tesco and the best bit is that I'm not looking to sell it until January! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blimey, I pay almost a grand and I'm 26. But then mine is a 111s a standard one would have been 650.
GrahamW
I had my standard S1 when I was 22 (although it was brand new), I payed about £1200 with a few years NCD and an accident. Go for an S1

Rawr
Mine's a standard S2 (registered Dec 02 so it's a 52 plate) in Ardent red with red alcantara and carbon leather seats, red alcantara door panels and black alcantara dash. X-drilled disks, Greenstuff pads, Walshy geo and Toyo T1S tyres. Full service history (always serviced at Sinclaires and Elite Cars), having a new front clam fitted very soon so it won't have any stone chips either. Has a Janspeed sports exhaust, cat bypass (original cat supplied) and ITG (original airbox supplied). Fitted with Spyder harness bar with Willans Quick Release harness on the drivers side and normal Willans harness on the pax side (in red, obviously). Has the short roof (the nice version) and is all in perfect working order as I drive like a pussy. steve
How much will you be looking for, Rawr??? Mine too will be up for sale in about feb. Beauty of mine is that it has an "invisible" 155bhp upgrade!!! Lots of other goodies and most of the mods that are common and a good price - £10.5k (63k miles) That means that the money you save can be put towards a nice honda conversion when the times right!!! Any more red cars for sale????
