Stumason10 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Car is now living away with friends (she has moved on from lurking in town) and has a lovely pad if a little windy and cold..... However, went over today, jump started her, went for a blast, smiled a lot, scared my mate a lot, couldn't find 3rd a lot, got car muddy a lot, fell in love with Lot a lot..... Definitely not selling the car feeling has returned a lot! The End
fentuz Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 nice... top down???? was nice weather today... I was the only idiot top down but I couldn't resist.... I went on a "recommended" road between cirencester and burford... been told it was in the top 5 road to drive in the uk according to Tiff Needell.... Well... it was boring... no enough corners...

Never listen to a TV programme! Lol! Good effort of roof off motoring! Roof up as its been standing with a very non breathable cover on it and I wanted roof to dry out! Was playing around near Utoxeter and some cracking roads.... Would be good for a run around there if there are any locals on hear who can put one together!
MilesH Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Did exactly the same today (once I'd sorted the battery!!!), I love my car!
s1_austen Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Have you ripped out all the race stuff and just using it on road now??
fentuz Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Did exactly the same today (once I'd sorted the battery!!!), I love my car! Hum... should have texted you... We're both in Ciren (and it's not a big town) and we haven't for a run yet...
MilesH Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Hum... should have texted you... We're both in Ciren (and it's not a big town) and we haven't for a run yet... I did think about texting you but I was already at the garage (car is being stored 15 mins from my house) and I didn't take your nubmer with me Stored it in my phone now for next time! I think I've found roughly where you're living, I went to a Gym this morning called Le Spa and it I think it was in Stratton. Are you not far from a Mitusbishi garage and a Texaco petrol station?
fentuz Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 yep, about 500 yard in straight line... I went to Bath today, I saw a few convertible; only one was top down, a cobra... but his mate in another cobra was top up...
Stumason10 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Have you ripped out all the race stuff and just using it on road now?? Nope still in race spec, just can wind the nitrons back and use on the road too. Good fun and not on the harshest springs so actually its pretty reasonable on the road!

I live down the road in bonny Cheltenham. Let me know if you guy's fancy a run out I'm always game if it's local... The Ciren. to Cheltenham road is a bit of a hoot too Hamish.
MilesH Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Looks like there's a few of us now That road always worries me as I often see police siting in the layby's and the odd camera van! If you've lived in the area a while you must know a few good cross country routes you can take us on I keep exploring but always seem to end up stuck in traffic on great roads but no clear run On the way to Dan's I drove the road from Fairford to Burford and on to Morton-in-Marsh which was a great road
fentuz Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 need to find snaky roads where speed limit is 60 and you do 50-60 max as it's very twisty... still legal and fun
Stumason10 Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Maybe I've missed something, but are you not racing this season stu? Yes I am, well not all rounds but will hopefully doing a part season! Can't justify just racing to keep it, so doing some road driving too, where it is still pretty good as its on nitron road springs and not the eibachs!
