After being rammed up the back in November I have finally got the Elise back yesterday - it took just over 3 months and that was with the other driver accepting liability !

So new rear clam, heat shield, diffuser etc looks the dogs b******ks - and it is as clean as it has ever been since I bought it 30,000 miles ago !

It was so pleased to be home it woke me up twice in the night with the alarm to let me know - neighbours were pleased too. This has been happening since the shunt, anyone know how to turn down the sensitivity of the alarm ?????

According to the manual; press button (normally) to set alarm and then press again within two seconds to de-activate the movement sensor, you will hear single beep to confirm! Next time you reset alarm sensor is automatically reactivated. HTH

If you have had a new rear clam it could be the boot opening sensor/switch. Maybe a loose connector, or not being pushed down quite enough.

I had an ocassional activation and it turned out to the be a front access panel switch.

Seem to remember that the number of flashes after turning the alarm off tells you what the activation was ? or is that of my other cars?? Haven't got my manual to hand to check.

Just tried that and all it does is unlock the doors again. If I lock the doors with the key, not the C/L the alarm does not set, but the immobiliser is still on - so that is what I am doing for now
