Help Remote Stopped Working 2009 S2 Now Cannot Get In!

just got home and remote didnt lock the car doors............went and got 2nd key still n use...tried sitting inside car and it worked . put in new battery still no use then all of sudden locked the doors...............stopped working again and now wont let me in. any ideas please.pref not on stamped envelope. thanks

Does the key fob still light up when you press the buttons?

 

Mine used to do this when the batteries were getting low. Do the old two button reset. Hold both buttons for 10seconds and then the big button should open as normal

It's laughably easy to get in with a loop of flex...

 

Once you've got it open you can then lock it the old fashioned way with the key.

 

If new remote batteries, reprogramming and checking the car battery don't work then it's probably the CDL module (central locking module).

well thanks; all those + thoughts must have done the trick..just tried it again now and it works as usual....thanks for the input; had already tried a new battery in the fob and the spare fob. worse still it could be an intermitant fault...... but will see how it goes. going to try going out to get some beer now..wish me luck
