Fuel Cap Problem

Hi All, need help.

 

Filled up last night and on re-fitting the fuel cap felt it was not right, but on my way out so looked today. Key turns, no hiss and no removal . Cap just keeps going round.

 

Any one able to help, the tank will just about keep me on the road till next weekend. Archives at British-cars didn't turn up anything except the thought that a new one is £100 ouch!

 

Please help.

I had a cap like that a while ago. It had no key with it so I had one cut and then found that all I needed to do was to push the keyhole into the cap without a key in it, and it would unlock and unscrew off.

Just posting the BCBBS resolution to this, might come handy in the future to know the answer as I didnt know this one myself
